A Story of Faith and Prayer – Part 1

In his book “More incredible Answers to Prayer,” Roger Morneau
shared the story of his own health challenges, and how God
answered his prayer of faith.
Roger was diagnosed with prostate cancer that the doctors said
had progressed beyond the point where it could be treated with
chemotherapy. They told him that the only option he had was
surgery.
Surgery presented a different problem for Roger, because five
years previously he was in the intensive care unit of a hospital
where tests revealed that a virus had destroyed a large part of his
heart. This left him disabled with cardiomyopathy, a disease of the
heart muscle. In such cases, the heart usually disintegrates until it
kills the patient. Roger was not expected to live longer than a few
months. In his case 60 percent of his heart was destroyed and his
blood constantly thinned to prevent clotting. He was not a good
candidate for any kind of surgery.
After discussing the matter with a urologist, Roger’s doctor
decided that the patient’s heart is in such a weak condition, he
might not make it through surgery. Was there a way out for
Roger?
